A Modern Dictionary

Because the media seem to be owned by people who wish to mislead rather than inform the public, they have, as all Big Brother media do, done a good share of language confusing, calling people genocidal who aren’t, calling people rebels who aren’t, sticking labels on groups and movements that hide true intent or origin.
So, it is my solemn duty as duly edjumacated English Major, to get people to use the right word for the right thing, and to read today’s papers and internet articles with more precision.
Soldier. Male or female, joins or is drafted into a regular army of a legitimate nation. May not be held responsible for doing as they’re told; will be held responsible by both military and civil court, if they engage in war crimes.
Guerilla. Male or female, joins or is drafted into a rebel force fighting the government of a legitimate nation. May act alone or in groups. Targets government and military. Will also target foreign forces coming to help legitimate government.
Rebel. Male or female, joins a rebellion against his or her government. May or may not engage in violence.
Freedom Fighter. Synonym for Rebel or Guerilla if government they are fighting is atrocious.
Terrorist. Predominantly male, engages in severe and bloody attacks on unsuspecting civilians, to intimidate and scare the hell out of everyone. A feature of Islam, which in its Koran commands dozens of times to “terrorize the infidel” and says how and comes with 1400 years of examples. Main difference with all others: targets innocent civilians at peacetime, for maximum effect. Also known as: Boko Haram, Al Queda, Hamas, PLO, Muslim Brotherhood, ISIS, Corsair Pirates, Somali overlords, sharia4belgium etc., etc., etc. Not nation-bound.
In other words: The Middle East and Africa and our cities in Europe aren’t facing any “rebels.” They’re not facing “soldiers.” They’re not even facing “guerillas.” They are facing *terrorists.* Terrorists who attack their women and children because that is what they do, and want to do, and they’re even open about it, before, during, and after.
Therefore, when you read the coverage on Israel’s war, substitute Boko Haram for Hamas. Know that Hamas is not a tiny group of disposessed Palestinians fighting for their land. Hamas is just another issue of Boko Haram. The Palestinians are part of a worldwide terrorist organisation which operates under different names but is ALWAYS terrorist. As ordered and brought to you by Mohammed, their shining example.
Also, since the media repeat the whining about the civilian casualties in Gaza, I will repeat: Israel warns people to flee, but Hamas won’t let them and hasn’t built any shelters. It forces them to serve as human shields. Hamas lives like billionnaires while Gazans starve, and then they’re told to blame Israel, which hasn’t stopped one single food or medical supply shipment into Gaza, ever.
